What & How to Consign
At Jodi's Clozet, our mission is to accept excellent quality clothing in a friendly atmosphere and display this clothing in a pleasant, uncluttered boutique to maximize the earnings to YOU, the consignor, while giving great customer service to everyone!
What does this mean? We will only accept name brand clothing for consignment and we have to be selective about what we accept for consignment, so that you can make more money! We may not be able to accept all of your items on each visit. Why? We have to consider, what we already have in stock, the season of the year and provide what our customers are interested in purchasing.
What to Consign
Children's (size newborn to juniors) women's and maternity clothing and accessories in excellent condition (no holes, stains, missing buttons, broken zippers, worn cuffs, fading, pilling, etc.) not from discount stores (Target, K-Mart, Wal Mart, etc). Please do not bring in more than one basket of clothing at a time. This will enable us to tag them and get them out on the racks quicker, allowing them to sell quicker. This will also allow us to keep the store looking clean and uncluttered.
CLEAN Clothes Sell and Keep the store smelling fresh (try fabric softener in your washing machine) All clothing must be clean! Shoes accepted for consignment must be in nearly mint condition and current styles. Please wipe down shoes before bringing them in. Please bring clothes in a laundry basket laying flat to prevent wrinkling (the better the clothes look the faster they will sell).
IN STYLE - In Style is what sells!! If you look through your closet and you find things with tags on them, but they have been hanging there for more than 2 years, then more than likely they are not in style.
IN Season: February - April: Spring clothing; May - July: Summer clothing; August - September: Fall clothing; October - January: Winter clothing. These months are approximate and may vary based on weather - call and ask what we are currently taking! The earlier in the season you bring it in, the higher it can be priced and the more money you will make!
How to Consign & Get Paid
NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY! Come in any time during business hours. Consignment period is for 60 days. Jodi's Clozet will set prices based on supply and demand. We will get the best possible prices for you. There will be regular sale events, coupons, and promotions to help sell your items. Consignors revceive 40% of selling price after buyer fees. Stop by anytime for the money we owe you! The money you earn will be paid IN CASH or you may also use it as a credit for in store purchases, or we can mail you a check (please note that $2 will be deducted for mailing). If any items remain unsold at the end of the consignment period, they may be picked up by the consignor by the date indicated on the agreement or they become the property of Jodi's Clozet.
